Cut-Up

Collaborative work with A.P. Vague, 2005

As the photo industry was moving towards its digital future, we used an, even for the time, outdated optical minilab to enlarge cut-up postcards, creating significantly enlarged images while allowing a considerable amount of information to be destroyed in the process.

During a time of transition from film to digital photography, we found parallels between our project and the process of digitizing token mementos, like postcards, often used for documenting short messages and experiences.
